La Jolla Village
No one who has ever visited La Jolla can forget the rugged coast, with towering
cliffs, secluded caves and sheltered beaches. Called "the Jewel" by its
earliest visitors, La Jolla has always been a special delight in Southern
California. Seals, sea lions, pelicans, cormorants, gulls, and occasional
sharks, whales and porpoises share space with residents and visitors. The
village itself, home to fine restaurants, assorted shops and numerous
galleries, is one of the highlights of any visit to San Diego. Renowned
academic and research institutions—Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Salk
Institute, Neuroscience Institute, the University of California, San Diego, and
private biomedical research companies—add to the character of La Jolla.
Parking on Sundays
Time unlimited on that day alone—is almost always available near the church.
(Inexpensive commercial parking close by, including two lots directly on Cave Street).
Parking is available until noon at the corner of Cave and Prospect (next to Gaia Spa),
make sure you ask a greeter or usher for a parking pass.)

Many of our members come from
other locations (from Oceanside to Chula Vista) to spend the day in La Jolla,
preceding or following church services with breakfast, brunch, lunch, a visit
to shops and galleries, a picnic in a seaside park or a walk along the ocean.
Visitors find swimming, snorkeling, diving, surfing and kayaking ideal here.
